Mr. Martin made this available on an internet auction site in mid-1998. It is an 800+ page computer printout of a very early version from July 1995. I think it unfortunate that the concept of "original manuscript" is mostly obsolete, but I can hardly expect authors to avoid using the computer! This copy is boldly signed by the author; the only evidence of it's true origin. (Personal information blacked-out in image.)
Well, who could predict that this series would become so popular and sought-after? Well, me, I guess.
